First single for PWC2: A Terrible Fate released August 2023.
lyrics
Sand in your throat - in a far west desert land where
lonely dead men tread
Young eyes of the blind will fail to see -
hypocrisy - when they stare into the dark.
Beyond the twilight, a mirror veil.
"Is it watching? Is it talking? Is it real?"
Embers and ash float into the sky.
"Is it waiting? Can it reach me?"
Buried deep, there she waits, feeding on souls lost to envy & pain.
All who sleep - none shall wake.
All of them dragged to a terrible fate.
Blackened, onyx carapace. Impervious to harm.
A perfect, dark, work of art.
As you struggle with your breath, deep flesh torn in barbed web...
A venom, gold crawls in your chest.
Nebulous eyes gaze on a traveller, cold.
The frozen ocean, a vessel sails.
"Is it lost? Is it me?"
Buried deep, there she waits, feeding on souls lost to anger and hate.
All who sleep - none shall wake.
All of them dragged to a terrible fate.
Why won't you answer me, Deity?
I know you can hear me. Answer me.

A powerful metal opus, blending soaring vocals, intricate melodies, and thunderous riffs for an epic listening experience. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 26, 2023
I never cared about symphonic metal at all. I do very much care about folk as well as progressive metal, and so I couldn't resist after reading the third exceptional AMG review for Wilderun in a row. 'Sleep...' has been on my radar for quite some time, being graced by one of the most beckoning cover arts I have ever seen. The band more than lives up to its reputation, composing great musical pieces from start to finish. I absolutely love the multitude of influences being put together here. David Fischer
